Malori Reviews All Sorts Of Stuff

Let's start out with a wonderful little treat. Baby Bell Cheese. These little circles of heaven are made by The Laughing Cow - and they are magical! I like the original flavor, but I haven't tried any of the other flavors so who knows - they could be even more wonderful!!
Seriously, these little cheeses are packaged in these super-fun-to-open wax things that keep them nice and fresh and the flavor is perfect every time!
Not only is it really, really tasty cheese, it is healthy for you! It has all of the goodness that comes with milk - calcium, vitamin D...uh...other good stuff - and you don't have to actually drink milk by itself!
And, as an added bonus, you get all of the deliciousness of a snack cheese without the embarrassment of eating string cheese (ok guys, I love string cheese as much as the next guy, but don't you feel a bit like a 6 year old while you eat it? Let's be honest here).
Ok, there is a little bit of a down side...it's a little pricey. But, I don't think it's so bad considering the quality of the product. It is really good cheese and you can tell when you taste it.
The Laughing Cow makes many other products that I have yet to try, and their website is filled with recipes! Brilliant!

Jon and I went to see Captain America this past weekend. I have to admit that I enjoyed it...for the most-ish part.
Look, it was entertaining. Chris Evans is pretty good-looking and he also does an incredible job with the part. He is likable, humble, and you believe that he is a genuinely good person. The other actors really did a good job too.
It was the story that bothered me the most. There were so many holes in it - the biggest one being (SPOILER ALERT) when the plane crashes in the end. Really, he can override the steering enough to steer it down, but he can't turn it to the left or the right? Hmmmmmm.....
Another issue I had was how the justified the costume. Yeah, I get that that was his costume in the silly show he was in, and they have the line where he says it's "growing on him" - but what hard core army guy is really going to design a "costume-like" outfit for his actual gear? Especially when his whole crew is wearing regular military clothes.
Yes, they had to have him wear the outfit or he wouldn't be Captain America - but the writers should have thought a little bit harder about justifying it. I personally didn't buy it.
Jon thought the montage was ridiculous, but I didn't mind it so much.
Basically, it was entertaining. I would recommend that you get it from the Red Box where it will only cost you a dollar.....

Yup, it's that time again - election time!!! All of the republicans are duking it out to see who will win the nomination, and I am so darn excited about it!!
Those of you who know me know that I have turned in to a bit of a political junkie, so election season is equivalent to some people's football season and I get just as psyched for it!
The nominees are overall pretty good - and I think any of them would be an improvement - but in my own opinion (and the opinions of the majority of republican voters according to the polls) Mitt Romney and Rick Perry are without a doubt the best choices. I could go through and give you my reasons as to what I do and don't like about each candidate, but this isn't a political blog, so I will just let you know that so far, I am backing Romney. Jon and I liked him and supported him in '08 and so far he is a stand out for me.
But it is still early on and I am so excited to see where this election goes! Another debate tonight!!! Yee Haw!!

I recently finished a series of books called "The Mortal Instruments". It has been compared to the "Twilight" books - though I didn't find them similar at all. Yes, it has werewolves and vampires, but that is not what the entire series is about.
Here is a real quick overview:
Clary is a "typical" girl until she finds out that her mother has a past that she didn't know about - a past filled with demon hunting!
She meets a studly Shadowhunter (demon hunter) named Jace and her whole world gets turned around as she tries to save the world from the terrible Valentine and his army of other-worldly demons!
Dun Dun Dun...(intense music!)
Ok, it sounds kinda lame when I say it like that, but trust me - if you are at all interested in fantasy, young adult fiction - this book is for you!
I could hardly put it down!

There is a show on youtube that I have really gotten into called the "Philp DeFranco Show"
At the beginning of each episode he says, "which is not really a show just some things that I thought were interesting in the news today"
Basically this guy just commentates on different news stories that he found interesting. He shares the stories and then tells how he feels about it, and he is usually pretty funny while he does it.
The thing is that while he can be hilarious, he knows when to be serious and that is where a lot of people get it wrong.
While I don't always agree with his opinions, I appreciate how smart he is and how articulate. His show is incredibly entertaining.
Now, I do have to warn you that he does use bad language sometimes. He also has a segment sometimes called "Guy Shtuff" where he promotes video games or pictures of female models that he likes. No, he is not trashy, but somebody might get offended - so I thought I would warn you.
His shows are roughly 10-ish minutes long and they are just about daily.
Philip's show has gone absolutely viral and I can understand why. So check it out on youtube.
(I would link to it, but I haven't figured out how to do that yet....so you're on your own)
